Never-Ending Labyrinth
by C.R.M. Nilsson

I know I cannot win
trying to find some
peace of mind in a
never-ending labyrinth

I slip in the blood
that the walls bleed,
pouring down on
the slippery stone

I know I cannot win
when I am caught
between imagination
and frail reality

I tumble and I fall
skinning my hands,
caught between
reality and ideal

I know I cannot win
when I lose my way
in this labyrinth
of unsure vanity

I lose myself to the
cost of vanity and
search for perfection
that has made me

I know I cannot win
but I still try to fight
my way out of this
never-ending labyrinth
