Somebody to Lean On
by C.R.M. Nilsson

Justin’s an only child. It means that his parents dote on him and encourage his every endeavour. It also means that he’s terribly lonely. They live in the countryside and the neighbour kids live far, far away.

There’s nobody who can take a share of his parents expectations. All their hopes and dreams for their child, are pinned solely on him. It makes him stagger sometimes. It’s just too heavy.

He wants children. Not one; at least two of them. He wants his children to have siblings, so that they can shoulder the expectations more evenly.

Darlene wants the same.
